Hundreds of thousands demand president resign Yemen

SOME protesters demanding President of Yemen, Ali Abdullah Saleh in Sanna resigned yesterday.

Sanaa - Hundreds of thousands of citizens of Yemen crowds out here for a demonstration urging President Ali Abdullah Saleh to step down.

The protesters gathered at each of the main street in town and they continued pressing Ali who has ruled for 32 years to withdraw.

They also blamed the system of government that sparked public anger against his government.

The opposition hopes of one million people will gather to urge the resignation of Ali. Ali previously refused to resign but was defeated in the election.

Unrest in Yemen occurred due to the success of protesters in Tunisia and Egypt that resulted in both the country's president to resign.
